In Her Own Words
Dec 30, 2025 - Pam attends a working session with fellow NCEOB candidates and organizers

WHY I’M RUNNING I am a mother, teacher, and advocate who believes families in the Kerr-Tar region deserve a strong voice where decisions are made. After decades working with students, families, and youth in challenging circumstances, I know how policy choices affect real people. I’m running to ensure that those experiences are reflected in the work of the General Assembly. MY EXPERIENCE IN EDUCATION I have spent 28 years serving North Carolina public schools as a middle grades math and science teacher. I was honored to be named a North Carolina Teaching Fellow in 1997 and have taught students in Wake, Vance, Franklin, and Granville Counties. Today, I continue serving young people as a Juvenile Justice Educator with the Department of Public Safety, supporting students who need stability, structure, and opportunity. WHO I’VE SERVED Beyond the classroom, I serve as a Guardian ad Litem for District 11, a tutor with the Salvation Army Red Shield Club in Henderson, and a member of the Kerr-Tar Re-entry Council. My work has consistently focused on supporting children, youth, and families—especially those navigating difficult systems or transitions—so they can move forward with dignity and hope. WHAT I’LL BRING TO THE NC HOUSE If elected, I will advocate for a budget that fully funds public schools, fair salaries for teachers and state employees, affordable healthcare and housing, and strong support for justice-involved youth and their families. I bring experience, compassion, and a deep commitment to the people of House District 32. I am ready to represent our communities with care, clarity, and purpose.
